OneVyapar (operated under brand & technology arrangements with Bharat Trade Mart) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use and protect it. It is drafted in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
1. Information we collect
We collect two broad categories of information:
- Account information you provide directly — business name, contact person, phone, email, GSTIN, PAN, business address, category of products/services, and (for suppliers) catalog & banner uploads.
- Usage information collected automatically — pages visited, time spent, search queries, IP address, device type, browser, and cookies used for session and analytics.
2. How we use your information
- To create, verify, and operate your account on OneVyapar.
- To match buyer enquiries with relevant suppliers and forward leads via WhatsApp, email, or SMS.
- To send transactional messages (OTP, lead notifications, invoices, expiry reminders).
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and keep the platform safe.
- To comply with legal obligations — tax, audit, KYC, court orders, and regulatory requests.
3. Information we share
We share supplier contact information (name, phone, email, business address) with verified buyers who post matching requirements — this is the core service of the marketplace. We do not sell your data to advertisers or unrelated third parties.
We may share information with:
- Service providers (SMS gateways, payment processors, email/WhatsApp APIs) strictly for the purposes listed above.
- Government authorities, courts, or regulators when required by law.
- A successor entity in the event of merger, acquisition, or reorganisation of OneVyapar — with prior notice where feasible.
4. Cookies & tracking
We use first-party cookies for session management and basic analytics (page views, feature usage). You can clear or block cookies from your browser settings, but some platform features (login, lead inbox) require cookies to function.
5. Data retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period after deactivation (typically 18 months) to comply with tax and regulatory obligations. KYC documents are retained for 7 years per Indian record-keeping norms.
6. Your rights
You may at any time:
- Access and download a copy of your account data — write to support@onevyapar.com.
- Correct inaccurate information directly from your dashboard.
- Request account deletion — we will erase non-essential personal data within 30 days, retaining only what's legally required.
- Opt out of non-essential marketing emails — every email contains an unsubscribe link.
7. Security
We implement standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all traffic, hashed password storage, scoped database access, regular backups, and access logs for administrative actions. No internet system is 100% secure — please use a strong unique password and don't share your login.
8. Children
OneVyapar is a B2B platform meant only for businesses run by adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent banner on the site. Continued use of OneVyapar after the change means you accept the revised policy.
